About Dr. Friedman

Dr. Friedman is an ophthalmologist and ophthalmic surgeon who has dedicated more than three decades to provide high quality and personalized eye care to his patients.

In addition to eye examinations, Dr. Friedman offers advanced technology and modern techniques to treat different types of medical and surgical diseases of the eye such as cataracts, dry eyes, macular degeneration, glaucoma and many others.

Beyond general ophthalmology, Dr. Friedman also has a fellowship training in the management of medical and surgical diseases of the retina.

Dr. Alexandra Scherk is a board-certified optometrist dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered eye care.

A native of Syosset, New York, Dr. Scherk is currently living in New York City. She earned her Bachelor of Science at The Pennsylvania State University and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston.

During her doctoral training, Dr. Scherk was inducted into the prestigious Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society in recognition of her academic excellence.
